Introduction
This blog is the creation of a group of 3 boys (Simon Elias, Jacob May, Nathan Gazis) from Ivanhoe Grammar School to present the information gained in their two weeks at La Trobe University. It is a blog that answer the question: 'How have advances in the technology of Medical Imaging affected the treatment of medical issues?' We have done this by using the examples of X-Ray, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computer Tomography scan (CT scan), Ultrasound and Synchrotrons because we feel that they are prime examples of the original, modern, and future technologies of Medical Imaging. We have gained some of this information from the staff of La Trobe University from lectures and interviews.
